About Our Narratives
Our Narratives was created by artists Heidi Jeub and Terrell X (aka Carnage The Executioner), at The Whit Gallery.
It comprised of artist workshops and a monthly open mic, for all ages and artistic abilities. The community came to The Whit Gallery to share stories through their chosen artform, and had an amazing time.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, and support from the Central Minnesota Arts Board, we are able to continue this program at The Stearns History Museum in March of 2023! Learn MORE

Artist, Educator & Cultural Worker
Heidi Jeub has worked as a teaching artist since 2003, teaching bookbinding, visual journaling, and abstract painting. Since she was an “alternative learner” as a young person into her higher educational path, she intuitively connects her art forms to various academic subjects such as literature, science, math, and technology.
Jeub lives and works in Central Minnesota, with an active studio practice as an abstract painter, former owner of the Whit Gallery, and the owner and operator of a portable studio called the Tiny School of Art & Design. She has a studio art degree (1999) and masters degree (2017 in Arts & Cultural Leadership) from the University of Minnesota. She has been awarded several project grants and awards from regional arts boards (Five Wings Arts Council and Central MN Arts Board), the Minnesota State Arts Board, Forecast Public Art, and has been included in rural-based grants through national funders like Art Place and the National Endowment for the Arts Our Town Grants. She is a 2019 National Arts Strategies and 2021 Creative Community Institute Fellow. She is currently an art specialist at Athlos Academy in St. Cloud.

“Carnage The Executioner” / “Terrell X”
Hip-Hop Recording Artist & Performer // Song Writer // Vocal Percussionist // Beat Boxer // Instructor
Terrell X’s music and performance touches on his personal story of struggle and hardship. His work highlights triumphs achieved through self-reflection and resilience while celebrating his love for sound, promoting musical creativity and exemplifying positive self-expression. Terrell denounces racism and sexism to promote the respect and equal treatment of all people. He teaches the art of using the body as an instrument to create rhythms and sounds in the form of Human Beat Boxing/vocal percussion. Terrell has taught in over 100 public, private and alternative schools, colleges and youth agencies. He has reached thousands of listeners and viewers with no signs of slowing down.
Heidi Jeub is a fiscal year 2023 recipient of a Creative Support for Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
