Heidi Jeub - Executive Director

Heidi Jeub is an abstract painter, bookbinder, and public artist. Heidi’s activation of community conversations through facilitation and event planning has brought her into a unique career path that includes her art practice in the studio, teaching in schools, owner and curator at The Whit Gallery and public settings throughout Minnesota. Heidi is a teaching artist with COMPAS (MN), the Central Minnesota Arts Board (CMAB), and an Art Teacher at Athlos Academy. Heidi has provided arts consultation for various non-arts organizations and communities. Heidi runs a portable studio, the Tiny School of Art & Design, funded by Sprout MN and the McKnight Foundation and provides art learning activities for youth. Heidi has served as an arts consultant for Art in Motion, Holdingford, MN, Avon Hills Folk School, Avon MN, Unite Cloud, Saint Cloud, MN and various youth-service organizations. Heidi was a Springboard for the Arts Creative Community Leadership Institute Fellow and has partnered with the City of Little Falls, Sprout-MN, and Five Wings Arts Council. Heidi has received funding for placemaking programming from the National Endowment for the Arts and a recipient of Central Minnesota Arts Board grants. Heidi holds a Bachelors degree in Studio Art and a Masters degree in Arts & Cultural Leadership from the University of Minnesota.

  • Betz Steichen

    Leadership Director - voting member

    Betz is an avid traveler, abstract landscape painter, photo essayist, activist, volunteer, retired Management Consultant and IT Project Manager. Betz provided organizational support, volunteer coordination and event support for The Whit Gallery. Betz has participated in Central Minnesota Arts Board (CMAB) grant review panels, Betz currently volunteers as an organizational assistant and voting board member of Heijeu Arts. Other volunteer commitments include Bruno Press, Make & Bake, TedX St. Cloud and the Avon Hills Folk School. 

    Betz holds a B.S Art Education from Northern Illinois University and a Master Certificate in Project Management from Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama.

  • Charlene Wagner Ridlon.

    Charlene has a deep commitment to community and the arts blending her skills in understanding nonprofit management with her artistic experience. Charlene works in Development as a grant writer and donor relations with Anna Marie’s Alliance. As a Heijeu Arts volunteer, Charlene is dedicated to giving back to the community by providing art instruction and working with adults and children as part of the Tiny School of Art and Design program. As a visual artist, Charlene loves to share art-making opportunities and appreciates many different art mediums, dabbling in ceramics, drawing, acrylic, fused glass, watercolor, and mixed media. Her most recent obsession is learning to paint en.plein air, working with soft pastels. 

    Charlene holds a B.F.A in Graphic Design from Saint Cloud State University

    Financial Services

    Kate Hill is deeply committed to supporting children and educators, having worked extensively in school administration and student-centered programs. Kate’s experience in education leadership has given her valuable insight into developing enriching opportunities for students, fostering creativity, and ensuring equitable access to resources. Additionally, with a background in HR, project management, and policy development, Kate has played a key role in organizational growth and efficiency, leading initiatives that improved operational effectiveness. Passionate about community engagement and the arts, Kate brings her leadership and financial expertise to organizations that make a lasting impact. As a dedicated board member and volunteer, Kate has contributed to nonprofit development, fundraising initiatives, and strategic planning, making her an asset to any fine arts organization seeking financial oversight and sustainability.

    Kate holds a B.S in Fine Arts from St. Cloud State University and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University.

  • Mary Schmidt

    Financial Services - voting member

    Mary studied Business Management at University of Wisconsin River Falls and currently provides financial bookkeeping services to a wide variety of clients via BytheBooks Financial Services, LLC. Mary has been a treasurer for several non-profit boards in the Twin Cities. Mary has extensive knowledge of accounting principles, income tax policy and procedures and reporting. Mary is a published poet and first place award recipient in the 2016 National Federation of State Poetry Societies.

    Community Engagement

    Anthony is a photographer who uses photography to sharpen his vision of the beauty in the world. He believes we are all connected to each other and all the things around us. Through his work he aims to bring a sense of belonging and wonder to things around us and to cherish it all. Anthony holds a B.A in Photography and Cinematography from the University of Minnesota.

  • Keisha King

    Community Engagement

    Keisha is a Resource Navigator for the United Way of Central Minnesota, a Program Coordinator with Higher Works Collaborative and provides leadership and mentoring to youth through church and school programs. Keisha has been a committee member at various organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Social Venture Partners, Stearns County Human Services, Martin Luther King Service Project and a Board Member at D Blake Center serving underprivileged youth. As an AmeriCorp member, Keisha served as a Literacy Leader with the United Way of Central Minnesota. Keisha is a Jugaad Leadership Program graduate, a Beta Sigma Phi Laureate, and a 2022 Martin Luther King Humanitarian recipient.

    Keith is a native of Illinois and longtime resident of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, Keith Piskur is a poet, public speaker, and activist focusing on the subjects of diversity, human rights, violence prevention, disability awareness, and mixed orientation relationships. Keith is a longtime member of Advocates for Independence as well as a current member of Project 37 and Spiritual Social Action Committee. While attending Saint Cloud State University, Keith co-founded the disability rights organization, Breaking Barriers. An avid fan of local music and theater. Keith believes in encouraging connection and collaboration while also speaking your truth.

    Lily is a Central MN-based mixed media artist exploring agrarian and rural imagery as it relates to concepts of value, ownership, and identity. Lily teaches art at the Sartell Middle School. She was previously the Arts Coordinator at Art in Motion on the Lake Wobegon Trail. Lily holds a B.A. in Studio Arts and Art History from University of Minnesota, Morris. Lily also serves on the board of Raising a Farmer Non Profit, as well as The Holdingford Fine Arts Now Booster Club. Through her work in arts programming she strived to make arts accessible and meaningful.
